Pentraeth Racing is a Motorcycle Racing team based in Pentraeth on Anglesey.

The team was formed late in 2009 in time to compete in the 2010 season at club level.

The idea for the team came from Andrew Jones, a local of Pentraeth, after probably developing a mid life crisis. Quickly realising his skills laid in organising and not riding he turned to Bob Owen, a friend and again a local of Pentraeth.

Bob, a keen, long established and accomplished racer, was already competing in his 20th season and was keen to get involved.

In 2009, Bob was competing in the 500cc classics, finishing 6th in class. (Out of 34)

Following acquisition of a new HONDA CBR600RR SUPERSPORT , Bob will, in 2010, compete in both the 500cc CLASSIC and the Formula 600 class.

Motorbike racing is not a cheap sport and in order to get the idea off the ground Andrew had to turn to friends, family and associates.

Within a short space of time, pledges of money and support quickly surpassed expectations and the club wishes to thank all involved. Details of all our sponsors and partners can be found on the Sponsor Us page.

Taking the team forward year on year is important for Pentraeth Racing and has therefore commenced a Young Rider’s Scheme, where, young local riders can get involved and will receive some financial assistance.
